Taxpayers Not Able To File GST Return Due To DSC Error on GST Portal

Taxpayers are now facing another error while filing GST return for their business. This is due to inability in filing GST return due to DSC error of GST portal. Many taxpayers are not able to submit their GST return on GST portal because the portal is not reading the taxpayer’s digital signature certificate registered with the portal. As of now, it seems to be a technical error and GSTN is trying to resolve the error presently.

Last minute bugs like this are affecting taxpayers’ day to day business activity and draining the resources of businesses. If the return is not filed in time, this will also attract penalty on GST portal and the taxpayer will not be able to proceed without payment of this penalty fees.

We expect the GST portal to get stable as soon as possible so that taxpayers can experience the ease of tax filing, as claimed by GSTN initially.
